Elena hadn't seen a dentist for more than 10 years before she came to Dr. Jelinek's dental practice because of her dental phobia. Cosmetic dentist Dr. Jelinek had done several dental works for Elena, from teeth cleaning to teeth whitening. In this clip, Elena explains how a kind and gentle approach at this Fairfax dental practice helped her overcome her dental fears and how much she loves her new, beautiful smile.

ELENA: Before I came I hadn't seen a dentist in five years, ‘cause I was afraid of them. But I've been coming here for about 12 years now, and I'm not scared anymore. So that's good news. But I do my teeth cleanings, I've had my teeth whitened, I've had some fillings replaced, and I've had bondo [phonetic] on my front tooth because I cracked it when I was a kid, and big chunk came out of it, so… And he's repaired it to the fact that you can't even tell, no one even knows. I bit into a chip and I was like, “That wasn't a chip I just crunched on”, and my tooth had basically, just the front part of it, just like fell apart, and… So, yes, I was a little afraid they were going to have to like, you know, give me a crown or something. I really didn't want that, so he was able to fix it and I still have my smile. The best part, I remember looking in the mirror and going, “Oh my gosh, you can't tell”. He was like, “Well, that's the point”. The reason I would recommend Dr. Jelinek is because he is good at what he does, his staff is wonderful, they're very good at scheduling appointments when I can come because I can only come usually in my lunch hour, or before or after work, based on the fact that I don't work very close to here. So they're very accommodating, and they're very nice, professional, friendly, and that's the biggest reason because I've been to a lot of doctors, and you go once and you just feel like they couldn't really care less whether or not you ever come back, and I usually don't go back. But 12 years later, I'm still coming.
